SimplePractice Learning is proud to offer continuing education courses for California Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs). We are an approved CE provider through the CAMFT CEPA program, so our LCSW CE courses count toward California BBS requirements.
California LCSW CE Requirements
All licensees are required to complete 36 hours of CE credits every two year license renewal period. There is no limit on CE completed online via self-study.
6 credits of law and ethics CE must be completed for each renewal. 7 credits of HIV/AIDS CE must be completed prior to the first renewal. 6 credits of suicide risk assessment and intervention CE must be completed prior to licensure for new licensees, or prior to renewals for existing licensees (one-time requirement).
