For what professions and states is SimplePractice approved to offer CE Credit?
SimplePractice is an Approved Provider of Continuing Education by NBCC and CAMFT. SimplePractice is also approved by certain state-specific boards in Texas and Florida. Please check with your board to clarify if SimplePractice Learning is approved for your requirements.
How many hours can I earn online?
Some boards allow you to gain all of your CE online, while other boards have strict limits. For current information on your license, check with your applicable licensing board.
Can courses I take through SimplePractice satisfy my law and ethics course requirement?
We have multiple courses that specifically address legal and ethical issues. These courses can typically be counted toward state requirements for Law and Ethics CE. Note that states have varying requirements for the number of Law and Ethics CE hours you may need to obtain, and the time in which you need to obtain those hours (one time, annually, at license renewal, etc.).
Are you approved by the California BBS (Board of Behavioral Sciences)?
Yes. The California Board of Behavioral Sciences no longer directly approves CE providers; instead, they recognize providers who are approved through a number of specific organizations. We are approved through organizations recognized by the BBS (you can see complete information on our Approval Statements page, linked above). As such, our courses are accepted for California LMFTs, LPCCs, LCSWs, and LEPs.
Do you report to CE Broker?
No. If your state board uses CE Broker to track continuing education, you will need to upload CE certificates manually. State rules and processes for the use of CE Broker differ by board.
What do I do if I have more than one license?
Many of our customers are dually licensed. Our CE platform asks you for information on a single license when you first sign in to take a course, and this license information is recorded on your CE certificate. However, generally speaking, the same CE courses can be used to fulfill requirements for multiple licenses, so long as our approval applies to both boards.
You can list multiple credentials in your account, and have them appear properly on your CE certificates, by adding them on to the end of the "License number" field in your account as in the following example:
License state: TX
License type: LPC
License number: 12345 and CO LPCC 67890
Where can I find SimplePractice's provider numbers?
Our provider numbers can be found in our approval statements (linked above)
There is a mistake on my certificate. What do I do?
If the mistake is in the spelling of your name, you can select the "Request name change" link when accessing your certificate. For any other mistakes, please contact us at email@example.com
How can I access my certificate? How long is it available for?
Your CE certificate is available for immediate download upon completion of a course. (Completion typically requires viewing all course components, passing a completion quiz, and completing a satisfaction survey.) We retain course completion records for at least 5 years. At any time during that timeframe, you can log back into your account on our learning platform and re-download certificates for any courses you previously completed.
You can view your certificates on the “Certificates” section of “My Account” after clicking your name in the top right corner of the page while logged in to your account.
What are the requirements to pass a course completion quiz?
You must score at least 80% on a course completion quiz to advance to the satisfaction survey.
What happens if I fail a completion quiz?
You can reattempt a completion quiz as many times as necessary to pass the course.

Can I offer feedback?
Yes! We gather feedback in a variety of ways, to continually improve and expand our offerings. For feedback about a specific course, we use a course satisfaction survey at the end of every course in our library. For overall feedback about our CE program, including suggestions for future course offerings or inquiries about becoming a presenter, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
What is your complaint or grievance policy?
SimplePractice will respond to grievances and complaints in a reasonable, ethical and timely manner, when submitted by course participants in writing to the CE Program Director via email at email@example.com. If a grievance concerns a course, its content, or level of presentation, the CE Program Director will be the final arbitrator. If the participant requests action, SimplePractice will either:
(1) ask the participant to provide additional information on their concern, so that it may be clearly defined;
(2) amend course materials;
(3) move the participant to a different course;
(4) provide credit for another course; or
(5) provide a partial or full refund of the workshop fee.
In no event will SimplePractice’s responsibility for resolving a grievance or complaint exceed the purchase price of the course in which the customer was actually enrolled.
Do you provide disability accommodations?
The Continuing Education Program at SimplePractice will take reasonable steps to accommodate customer requests for disability accommodations in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Requests for accommodations may be submitted via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. For on-demand courses and webinars, many accessibility features are already included in modern web browsers. Examples of reasonable accommodations we may provide for these courses include written transcripts of audio or video components of courses, and large-type or audio versions of print materials. For in-person courses, any accommodation requests related to course facilities, materials, or presentation will be reviewed as described below. Requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and the CE Program Director makes a final determination on what accommodations will be offered. While we aim to provide reasonable accessibility for all of our offerings, accommodations may take up to 90 days to provide.
What is your refund policy?
No refunds are provided for online, recorded courses.
Does my purchase expire?
Yes. Once you purchase a course, you have 60 days to complete the course unless the course page specifically states a different expiration window.
Why is my coupon code not working?
If you are having issues applying a coupon code issued by SimplePractice, please contact us at email@example.com and include the coupon code and the name of the course you are trying to purchase.
Is my credit card information safe?
We process your credit card through Stripe. Stripe has been audited by a PCI certified auditor, and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.
How do I sign up?
You can sign up by purchasing a course from our collection of courses and then registering with your name, email, and license information.

We are in the process of allowing you to log in with your existing SimplePractice account.
