Course description

Caregivers often bring their children to therapy with hopes that the therapist will have the magic tools to manage their children’s challenging behaviors. Whether they’re not doing homework or completing chores, the reality is that before implementing discipline caregivers need to enhance the caregiver-child relationship. To do this, the therapist needs to first focus on supporting the caregiver. This course focuses on teaching clinicians evidenced-based interventions that are easy to implement and have demonstrated success to help caregivers handle challenging behaviors without fracturing the relationship with their children.
